Meet our Master Groomers

Vanessa Parsons


Vanessa is an Australian Ambassador for Shear Magic with Botany Bay Imports, she ventured into her grooming career in 1990 at 16 years old with her first salon, and has owned successful salons and mobiles for over 3 decades on the Gold Coast. She currently owns Country Canines Grooming Salon.

Vanessa was a judge with International Judges Association, and over the years has achieved Certified Master Groomer (CMG), and International Certified Master Groomer (ICMG) She was a certifier for International Professional Groomers for several years. Vanessa also completed certificate 3 & 4 in pet grooming at masters level and achieved International Master Groomer (IMG) . Vanessa also is a Certified Companion Animal Hygienist.

Vanessa began her competing career in 2009 in Australia, then competed in her first international competition in 2010 in Pasadena USA placing 2nd in terrier class. She was a non touring member of Groom Team Australia 2009, and touring member for the 2014/2015 Groom Team representing Australia in terrier class alongside her team friends in beautiful Verbania, Italy .

Vanessa to date has won 3 Best in Shows with the Miniature Schnauzer, Poodle and West Highland Terrier, runner up best in shows, multiple group wins, class wins and placings. She was Queensland Royal Champion 2012 & 2013, multi award winning in Australian and international comps. Vanessa is the team manager of Oster & Shear Magic show team and competed alongside her team mates winning the presitgous “Mastergroom  Australian Team Champions” in 2019

Vanessa has judged grooming competitions nationally and  internationally in Singapore and Korea . She also represented groomers as a director for the Pet Industry Association of Australia for over 2 years. Vanessa has spoken at conferences around Australia and enjoys teaching groomers in workshops and seminars. Vanessa owns, breeds, exhibits and competes with the beautiful Miniature Schnauzer, with numerous champions that she has bred.

Naomi Conroy


Naomi started out at the age of seventeen and had her first grooming job at the local vet.  She studied Vet nursing and was lucky enough to work with some amazing vets during her 8 year vet nursing career.  Being a second generation pet groomer, she was busy on the weekends helping her mum in her mobile grooming business.  Naomi started her own mobile van business in 2000, during this time she studied for her IPG Masters Certification and NASH Academy diploma, all the while traveling around Australia and overseas to compete in grooming competitions. 

Competitive highlights include wins in competitions with Bichons, Springer Spaniels, English Cocker Spaniels and Poodles and Best in Show at the PIAA ACT grooming competition in 2016 with her Bichon Hugo and Best In Show at the Canberra Grooming Championships in 2018 with Carla the Cocker Spaniel. 

Naomi is also a proud member of the DGS Australian Creative Team 


Naomi has represented Australia twice internationally with the Australian Groom Team. Naomi has a passion for training other groomers and currently works with Cert III & IV students in Pet Grooming, she has her Cert IV in Training Education and Assessment and loves seeing other groomers excel in the industry. Naomi is also an International Certified Master Feline Groomer and an assessor for NCGIA and Heiniger. Naomi recently passed her Certified Canine Esthetician (CCE) qualification and is Australia's first Master Pet Aesthetician (MPAe)
